Jainish holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a joint program between the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surat and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay in India. Additionally, he earned a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from IIT Bombay. His research focuses on integrating the influence of neighboring structures into portfolio-level risk assessments for coastal infrastructure subjected to hurricane-induced storm surge and wave action, by developing topology-aware fragility models that account for these neighboring-structure effects within the fragility assessment framework.
