Research topic: Impact of dynamic policies on users of diverse attributes on networked systems
Raul is a Postdoctoral Associate at Rice University. His work focuses on multiscale systems operating under progressive and shock-based hazards, particularly on developing methods and mechanisms to facilitate adaptive, resilient, and equitable performance. In his current work, he aims to define mechanisms for modeling, designing, and monitoring the socio-infrastructure-environment interactions. He seeks to make current infrastructure systems more resilient against environmental threats while guaranteeing that preexisting inequities in the social systems are not exacerbated due to misinformed decision-making.
