Research topic: Climate risk, structural reliability, and multi-hazard resilience of renewable energy infrastructure

Rumeysa is a Ph.D. Student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Rice University. Her work focuses on infrastructure reliability, multi-hazard fragility modeling, and the life cycle sustainability of renewable energy systems under extreme climate events. In her current work, she aims to integrate aerodynamic and wind dynamics insights into structural risk assessment frameworks. She seeks to enhance the resilience of critical alternative energy infrastructure against severe environmental threats while supporting sustainable and adaptive engineering decision-making.
